We're building the future of aviation document management, powered by AI.
Aviation professionals spend countless hours searching through manuals, maintenance records, and regulatory documents. AvDoc exists to eliminate that friction, enabling faster decision-making and safer operations through intelligent document search and analysis.
We believe that critical aviation information should be instantly accessible, not buried in hundreds of PDF pages. Our AI-powered platform transforms how operators, MROs, and regulators interact with their documentation.
My name is Zeb. By trade, I weave logic into code as a programmer and founder of a medtech AI company. But above the hum of servers and the glow of screens, my heart has always belonged to the sky.
I was born in India, and for as long as I can remember, I have been a creature of upward glances. My childhood was spent marveling at the beautiful, improbable machines that seemed to defy the very weight of the world. Yet, in the way of many middle-class dreams, the sky remained a distant gallery. I could look, but I could not touch. My first flight didn't come until I was twenty, a journey from New Delhi to Ranchi aboard an Avro RJ 70 operated by a now-vanished airline called MDLR. I was a devoted Microsoft Flight Simulator fanatic, and the night before, I dreamed wild, hopeful scenarios where I might somehow be of use in the cockpit.
I remember everything. The plane smell, the humm of the APU, the precise click of the seatbelt, the sudden, gentle surrender to gravity as we lifted away from the earth. It is a singular joy, difficult to articulate—a feeling of profound rightness. And as if fate wished to grant me a perfect first memory, the weather cleared. The captain's voice crackled over the speaker, pointing out the window. There, gleaming in the endless blue, lay the spine of the Himalayas, and at its pinnacle, the quiet, snow-capped majesty of Everest.
A twist of destiny eventually carried me to New Zealand as a student. The dream, now closer, became a quiet obsession. I funded my lessons through odd jobs, my eyes never leaving the horizon. A decade after that first, wondrous flight, I held a Private Pilot's License in my hands. The boy who could only dream had finally done it.
The aviation world welcomed me with open arms—a community of kind, passionate souls who showed me the ropes and shared their wisdom. This craft, however, comes with a mountain of documentation: flight manuals, procedures, regulations. As a programmer, I saw an opportunity to simplify. I built a tool for myself, a way to navigate the textual wilderness, and shared it with a few pilot friends. They found it useful, and from that simple act of problem-solving, AvDoc was born.
This is my way of giving back to the community that gave me the sky. For now, it is completely free—the servers, the development, the AI—I cover it all. If it grows beyond a certain point, I may have to introduce charges to sustain it, but I will do my utmost to keep personal plans free.
While I'm not one for social media, I would love to hear from you. Any feedback, any stories—my inbox is open. You can reach me at hello@avdoc.app. I'm currently based in Brisbane, usually with my head in the clouds, one way or another.
Oh, and… here's the day the dream finally fit in the palm of my hand. Thanks to the great folks at TieUpp Aviation.
